Nice summary!

When it comes out, I hope you will consider my new game Liftoff! 2.0.

It covers the coldwar spacerace and is a crises, resource, tech management game, where you develop and design mission architecture and operate each space mission with the end game of landing safely and returning from the moon.

I found intriguing the brief discussion of the game about Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the 15th-16th centuries. It made me wonder if it was a suitable setting for a States of Siege game.

Recently, I played a very large multiplayer hex-and-counter wargame about WW1 that took a few days to play(!). A favorite solitaire game of mine, Hapsburg Eclipse, covers these events with a much smaller footprint. Moreover, it only takes an hour, but it is no simulation. Yet, this simpler game evokes key issues.
